We read every message. The fastest way to reach a person is email — we usually reply within a couple of days.

Email us

Questions, bug reports, account help, privacy requests — anything. If it helps, include your device, your iOS version, and what you were doing when something went wrong.

Common questions

Managing or canceling your subscription

Shadow’s subscription is billed through your Apple account, so it’s managed there — not inside the app. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, choose Shadow, and you can change plans or cancel. Canceling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Free trial

If you started a free trial and don’t want to be charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.

Restoring a purchase

New phone, or reinstalled the app? Open Shadow’s settings and choose Restore Purchases to bring back an active subscription on the same Apple ID.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Exporting your writing

Your writing is yours. In the app, go to Settings → Export to download an archive of your entries, reflections, and what your guide remembers.

Deleting entries or your account

You can delete an individual entry by long-pressing it. To delete your account and personal data, use the account deletion option in Settings, or email us at agent@shado.co and we’ll take care of it. Deleted accounts are soft-deleted and then hard-purged after 30 days.

Shadow is not therapy, and it’s not a crisis service. It’s a tool for reflection and self-inquiry — it doesn’t diagnose, prescribe, or give advice. If you’re going through something heavy, please reach out to someone who can help.
